Beauty Within Imperfections

 

In the midst of honestly feeling inadequate and overwhelmed about putting all of the pieces of my business and life together, a friend reached out to me. About one week prior to her calling, I told her I needed a picture for the front page of my website. She called to tell me she took pictures for me when she went out to a lake near to her home. Not knowing she would have gone out to help me, and also help me so fast, she called that day and sent several pictures. Out of all the pictures she sent, this one stood out. I named the picture "Flowers by the Lakeside". When looking at the picture I saw the beauty within imperfections. If you look closely, the leaves on the bushes were green with evidence of deterioration due to pestilence. The flowers also had a few petals that changed from pink to brown. This immediately made me think of how God views His children. We are all with sin. We all bear scars. We all have imperfections. Yet God's love for us is unconditional and He sees beauty when He looks at us. Despite your struggles and despite how overwhelming life can get, WE must continue to know that we are adequate. We are loved. We are beatiful. We are what God says we are, and with His strength and walking in obedience we can conquer more than we can conquer without Him!
